Navigate to **AI Activate**, and then select **Consumption**. ![Overview of AI Activate subscription capacity and file usage details.](https://cdn.document360.io/2adf6ce2-c120-4520-b135-0fc4463ddde3/Images/Documentation/Screenshot 2026-09-21 at 12.14.24.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-15T02%3A17%3A34Z&se=2026-10-15T03%3A17%3A34Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=BkwLfEG55ftDICZed%2FSlFf%2Beq5a1VEhzlOquhvniwFo%3D) The **Consumption** screen shows: - Your overall subscription: - Content Activated File capacity. - Billable Content Activated Files and free Metadata Only Files. ## Your Content Activated File capacity Your subscription includes a set amount of Content Activated File capacity. Your Content Activated Files, the files whose content has been activated, count against that capacity. Metadata Only Files stay in scope and remain visible to your AI tool, but they are free and do not count against your capacity. If your Content Activated Files grow past your file capacity, AI Activate does not stop your service. The overage counts as organic growth, and your account team reaches out to expand your subscription, so your capacity matches your usage. For information about growth as your content changes over time, see [Activate Your Content](/v1/docs/ai-activate-activate-your-content). To change your capacity, see [Change Your Setup](/v1/docs/ai-activate-change-your-setup). ## Your Activate Queries allocation A few things to know about your query allocation: - The full allocation for your contract term is available from the start. Queries use a single pool, with no monthly or annual reset within the term. - Unconsumed queries do not roll over when you renew. At renewal, your allocation is set again, based on your Content Activated File capacity and your new term. ## What counts as an Activate Query Each tool call that your AI tool makes to AI Activate counts as one Activate Query. This is true regardless of how many files the call evaluates or returns, how complex the permission check is, or whether the call returns any results. A single question can lead your AI tool to make several tool calls, for example, one to find relevant files and others to retrieve their content. As a result, one question can use more than one Activate Query, and broad or multistep requests can use more than narrow ones. ## If you need more capacity Changes to your file capacity and your query allocation are not self-service. Contact your Nasuni account team. - For more queries, you can add a top-up through a contract amendment. The added queries join your existing pool for the remainder of your term. - For more file capacity, you can expand your subscription. ## As you approach your limits If you approach or pass your file capacity or your query allocation, your Nasuni account team monitors your usage and reaches out to work with you.
