Action Required for Shared Links created in Web Access before 10.1

You have been identified as a customer currently using Nasuni Web Access. We are writing to inform you that as of our next major release, 10.1, expected in mid-July, shared links generated through the Web Access product (not Access Anywhere) that were created before updating to 10.1 will no longer function after the update.

As part of our ongoing improvements, we are overhauling the Web Access platform. These enhancements require significant changes that impact existing shared links.

Affected Versions

Any Nasuni Edge Appliance (NEA) updated to release 10.1 will be affected if it contains shared links created prior to the update.

Required Action

If you need to maintain access to previously shared content, you must recreate these links after completing the update to release 10.1.

To help you document which links may need to be re-created:

1. Log in to the Nasuni Management Console (NMC).

2. Navigate to the Filers tab.

3. Under Filer Status in the left navigation, select Shared Links.

4. This page displays all currently active shared links.

5. Copy the paths of any shared items you want to re-create after the update.

If no action is taken, legacy shared links will no longer link to the intended content. There is no other impact on your data. New shared links can be created without issue after the update.
