Internal Links

An internal link, also known as a permanent link or permalink, is a stable URL that points to a specific folder or file. We refer to them as internal links because this is an easy and secure way for internal users to share links to files and folders with other internal recipients. The recipients must have access to Web Access, as well as access to the files or folders that the links point to.

In contrast, shared links are used for sharing files and folders with external users. For more information on shared links, see Sharing Files and Folders (Shared Links).

Internal Links can be created via the Get Internal Link button or by copying the URL from the browser's location bar.

Get Internal Link

By right-clicking any item in Web Access and selecting Get Internal Link, users can find the Web Access URL path for that item. When an Internal Web Access user clicks this link, they are brought to that item within Web Access.

Note: Users might need to log in to Web Access if they are not currently authenticated.

Browser URL

Additionally, you can copy the browser URL to create a permalink (or for bookmarks).
