With the Shares page, users can view and manage the directories and files for their CIFS (SMB) shares.
This section describes how to list, create, and delete directories. See other sections for uploading, downloading, and sharing files.
View Shares in Web Access
After logging into Web Access, the Nasuni file shares you have access to appear.

You only see shares that you have permission to view and that your administrator has enabled for Web Access.
Open Shares, Directories, and Folders
To open a share or directory, click the name of that share or directory. The contents appear as a list.

The path to the directory appears above the list on the left. To navigate to a higher point in the directory hierarchy, click one of the directory names in the path.
Show Hidden Files and Folders
Files and folders that are marked as hidden are not shown by default. Items flagged as hidden are typically temporary or system-related data, and are not intended to be managed by users.
To show hidden files and folders, click the avatar in the top right, then click the Settings button
. A dialog box appears. To show hidden items, select Yes, then click Save.

Hidden files is a browser-specific setting that persists across sessions.
Sort Files and Folders
To sort the display, click the column headers, such as Type, Name, Size, or Modified.
View File and Folder Details
To view details of an item, select the item, then click the View Details button
at the upper right of the page.

The name of the item appears, along with the date it was last modified and an indication of the number of shared links the user has created to that item.
To view other versions of the item, if available, click Versions.

Create internal links
To create an internal link URL to a file or folder in Web Access, select the file or folder, then click the Share internal link button
above the list on the right. For more information, see Permalinks.
Create folders
To create a folder inside this folder, click the Add Folder button located above the list on the right. Enter a name for the new folder.
Delete files
To delete files:
Select one or more files by Ctrl-clicking them.
Click the Delete button
in the upper-right corner. A dialog box appears. Click Delete to delete the files.
Note: Longer deletes (such as large folder hierarchies) continue in the background even if the user logs off or closes the browser.
Note: When items in a directory are being deleted, they are excluded from Web Access directory listings for all users.
Important: Any shared links for items that are deleted are also removed (not just for the user who deleted the items).
Delete directories
To delete directories:
Select one or more directories by Ctrl-clicking them.
Click the Delete button
in the upper-right corner. A dialog box appears. Click Delete to delete the directories.
Note: A directory does not need to be empty in order to be deleted.
Note: Longer deletes (such as large folder hierarchies) continue in the background even if the user logs off or closes the browser.
Note: When items in a directory are being deleted, they are excluded from Web Access directory listings for all users.
Important: Any shared links for items that are deleted are also removed (not just for the user who deleted the items).
